Reproduction of herd animals

Although weather conditions in Dviete floodplain still are brumous, spring has come. Birth of offspring of horse and cattle is also an indication. 7 foals and 2 calves have joined about 100 horses and 100 cattle, currently grazing Dviete floodplain grasslands. The first foal has born on February 23, while the first calf – on March 10. Reproduction will continue also during April and May.
