The second meeting of the steering group

The second meeting of the steering group of DVIETE LIFE+ project took place on January 27, 2012 in Riga, at the premises of Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, about half a year since the first meeting in Bebrene. 15 persons took part in the meeting. Project manager Edmunds Račinskis (LFN) and other representatives of the project staff (Ilze Priedniece, LFN, Gatis Eriņš, Institute for Environmental Solutions and Ieva Ūbele, Elm Media) told about up-to-date achievements and future activities.

At the end of the meeting Ieva Ūbele demonstrated several videos, made by Elm Media, about Dviete floodplain and LIFE+ project events. Participants also watched a record of the video about joint work of cutting bushes in September 2011, prepared by LTV1 programme „Panorāma".

It was decided to organize next meeting of the group in autumn (September or October) of 2012 in Bebrene, when it would be possible to evaluate achievements of the first two years of the project course in the field.
