Seminar on grassland management

Sustainability of the activities of LIFE+ project DVIETE, including restoration and maintenance of floodplain grasslands, will mainly depend on funding of the Rural Development Programme for Latvia after the end of the LIFE+ project. In order to discuss challenges in management of biologically valuable grasslands in connection with conditions for receiving funding of the Rural Development Programme, LIFE+ project DVIETE invites to a seminar 'Management of biologically valuable grasslands within the context of the Rural Development Programme" on June 17, 2014 in the Information centre of Dviete floodplain nature park, farm 'Gulbji' of Bebrene parish.

Presentations on biological and administrative aspects of management of biologically valuable grasslands, survey of grassland management examples in the field and negotiations among stakeholders are planned within the seminar.
