Welcome to joint work event!

Everybody is welcome to take part in an annual joint work event on September 28-29, 2013 (Saturday and Sunday) in the Dviete floodplain nature park!

During the working event we will collect and burn remnants of removed bushes, remove high stumps of bushes and trees, which were not sawn appropriately low because of thick ice cover in winter, collect old barbed wires, left in some sites within the grasslands.

Joint work event will be organised by the Latvian Fund for Nature in cooperation with Ilūkste municipality within the framework of LIFE+ project ‘Restoration of Corncrake habitats in Dviete floodplain Natura 2000 site’. Working will take place within floodplain grasslands in the vicinity of Information centre of Dviete floodplain nature park – ‘Gulbji’ farm of Bebrene parish.

Participants are kindly asked to inform about their participation beforehand, till September 25, by calling 65407909 or e-mailing to JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING . Please, inform, which day you are going to take part (if both, whether you need accommodation).

Clothes, appropriate for weather conditions, are required. Your own tools can be used. Gloves and meals will be provided by organisers.
