Joint-work event for removal of silt

A small joint work event took place at Zariņu sala and Skuķu lake on May 15, 2013. Participants collected and piled branches at the road to Zariņu sala, afterwards piles were gathered to process wood chips. Then participants bagged plastic and glass waste, which were moved by flood waters to the northern shore of Skuķu lake. Thanks to Biruta Vārslavāne, Benita Štrausa, Andris Lapeško and colleagues from the Latvian Fund for Nature for taking part!
