Invitation to joint-work event

Flood waters move different kind of silt to flooded areas every year, including trees and branches. There is a lot of silt this year because of high flood water level, besides water moved also parts of trees and bushes, cut within the LIFE+ project, drifting them also on land properties, where bushes were not cut. Everybody is welcomed to participate in a joint-work event of removal of silt at the left bank of Dviete river (at Zariņu sala) on May 15, 2013 (Wednesday)! Arrival at the information centre of nature park - 'Gulbji' farm of Bebrene parish at 10:00 a.m. or in Zariņu sala at 11:30 a.m.

The event is organised by Latvian Fund for Nature in cooperation with Ilūkste municipality within the framework of LIFE+ project "Restoration of Corncrake habitats in Dviete floodplain Natura 2000 site". Participants are kindly asked to inform about their participation beforehand by calling 26109353 to Benita Štrausa or 26562163 to Ilze Priedniece. Please, take clothing and footwear, appropriate for weather conditions.
