Lecture on protected nature areas took place

The lecture 'Protected nature areas' took place in Putnu sala of Bebrene parish, information centre of Dviete floodplain nature park on March 11, 2013. It was leaded by Inita Bružika, the expert of Nature Protection board. 16 people took part in the event.

Participants refreshed their knowledge on categories of specially protected nature areas, their location on the map of Latvia and received information on special values of each protected area. Nearest territories were emphasized: nature park ‘Dviete floodplain’, nature reserve ‘Pilskalnes Siguldiņa’, protected landscape areas ‘Augšzeme’ and ‘Augšdaugava’ and Rāzna National park. Examination took place at the end of the lecture – several tasks were prepared. Participants, who gave correct answers and solved crosswords, were rewarded by tasty barley porridge to get the energy for nature exploration.
