Opening of outlook platform and lecture about bats

Everybody is welcome to take part in opening of the outlook platform, built this autumn within the framework of DVIETE LIFE+ project, on November 14, 2012 at 12:00 at the Information centre of Dviete floodplain nature park - „Gulbji" farm in Putnu sala! The platform is built to arrange a view on Dviete river section, planned for restoration, and restored open grassland areas from higher position.

After the opening event, at 12:30, lunch will be offered at „Gulbji” farm, and afterwards, at 13:00, Gunārs Pētersons (Latvian University of Agriculture) will give an educational presentation about bats. After the lecture short excursion is planned to a cellar, where bats hibernate (information on excursion will follow).
