Welcome to the ‘Working bee’ (talka)!

Everybody is welcome to take part in a joint work event on September 22-23, 2012 (Saturday and Sunday) in the nature park 'Dviete floodplain'!

'Working bee' with the aim to remove bushes is organised by the Latvian Fund for Nature in co-operation with Ilūkste municipality within the LIFE+ project 'Restoration of Corncrake habitats in Dviete floodplain Natura 2000 site'. Removal of bushes in floodplain grasslands is necessary to restore open grassland areas for breeding of meadow birds. Joint work event will take place in floodplain grasslands opposite the information centre of Dviete floodplain – 'Gulbji' farm of Bebrene parish.

Participants are kindly asked to inform about their participation beforehand, till September 20, by calling 65407909 or e-mailing to JLIB_HTML_CLOAKING . Please, inform, which day you are going to take part (if both, whether you need accommodation).

Clothes, appropriate for weather conditions, are required. Your own tools can be used. Gloves and meals will be provided by organisers.
